Parents come in for a meeting with a form tutor, guest lecturers teach a session, contractors work on the building during the holidays and suppliers arrive early in the morning with deliveries for the canteen. Revtek records every visitor with a name, a licence plate and a time window, so reception knows who is on site and who they are there to see.
The member of staff who invites the guest enters their name, plate and time window in the dashboard, or sends a WhatsApp message. When the same guest lecturer comes in on fixed days all term, you set up one recurring booking: weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
For a parents' meeting, the teacher includes a registration link with the invitation. The parent enters their own plate and the teacher has nothing else to do. On arrival, the barrier opens within the booked time window.
A decorator working on site for two weeks of the summer holidays gets access for exactly that period. After the end date the barrier no longer opens for that plate, and nobody has to remember to revoke it.
Regular deliveries for the canteen or the site team go in as recurring bookings. When an unexpected van pulls up at the barrier, a member of staff lets it in from the live camera feed.
On most campuses, staff, students and visitors share the same car park. You set a capacity for each group, for example a fixed number of spaces for staff and a share for visitors.
